Today I'm adding my favorites among the drawings I've done in my figure drawing class over the semester. When I was talking about my upcoming critique, a friend said he wanted to see the pictures, so I figured "why not?" Anyway, these things are way too big for my tiny scanner, so I've had to use a digital camera....you'll have to forgive the crummy lighting and resolution.

I've marked the nudes as "Mature Content," but that's just because I understand deviantArt can be a little severe about that stuff. None of the pieces I'm submitting are naughty, but the majority are nude figures. I don't think anyone could be offended by them (I've shown some of these same pictures to my mother and grandmother, for goodness sake), but whatever.

My Art
As if my gallery didn't make this obvious, my illustrations tend to be fairly "anime" inspired. I do other styles as well, but this is by far my most common one. I'm an art student at UWF, and am capable of non-illustration art (and am in fact a lot better at it, though I prefer illustration) and intend to go into animation, comics, or video games, preferably as a character designer. I probably would not be doing anime style in professional work, though it is possible--there seems to be more and more call for that stuff these days.

I don't update here often, but I update my blog, Shiningbeam much more often. The name "Shiningbeam" comes from the anime "I My Me Strawberry Eggs."

Other Hobbies:
I'm also involved in amateur game production, primarily in RPG Maker XP these days. A lot of the characters that recur in my gallery are from these projects. More information about these projects can be found at the Bimini Road Wiki. I frequent the Gaming World forums, though I rarely discuss my projects in much detail there.
